Last year my life took an unexpected turn when I was made redundant from the job that I’d had for the past five years. When I was made redundant, it felt like the rug was pulled out from under me.

As a husband and father to a beautiful daughter, my immediate thought, "How will provide for my family?" I felt that I had failed my wife and daughter by no longer being the breadwinner in our family.

I started to notice a constant narrative of self-doubt -"You're unemployable," "You're not good enough," "You'll never find another job." These thoughts gnawed at me day and night, eroding my confidence and making me feel overwhelmed and anxious. Despite my previous accomplishments, I felt like a fraud, doomed to fail.

Searching for a new job felt daunting. With every rejection, my fears seemed validated. It was during this low point that I discovered intogreat. Personal development was uncharted territory for me, but deep down, I knew that I needed to do something new if I was going to break free from the unhelpful cycle that I found myself in.

Taking the first step was made easier because I had worked with Nicola before, so I trusted her. I liked the private and self-guided nature of the Intogreat platform, which allowed me to work my way through the content privately, without any pressure.

The true value of Intogreat is the practicality of the content. It goes beyond theory, offering actionable guidance that I could immediately implement. I was introduced to the concept of mindset—specifically, distinguishing between a limiting and a growth mindset. What impacted me the most was the concept of 'Above and Below Your Line'—a simple framework that enabled me to shift from a negative mindset to a more positive and confident one.

I began to realise that failure wasn't a testament to my inadequacy but a stepping stone to growth. This shift didn't happen overnight but built up slowly until I was able to confidently return to the job market with a growth mindset. I no longer saw rejection as a reflection of my worth but as an opportunity to learn and improve. It wasn’t long before I found a new position.

The experience of redundancy, painful as it was, led me to rediscover my resilience and potential. I use Intogreat’s daily tools to help me spend more time Above My Line, which has transformed my mindset and, in turn, my life.
