Intogreat’s partnership with Adbot, atechnology start-up based in Cape Town, was crafted to help the company build a high-performing team capable of driving success. Specifically, Adbot was working toward a deal with Google, as well as preparing for future investment opportunities. Our goal was to support Adbot in building resilience, enhancing emotional maturity, and fostering the leadership skills necessary to meet these goals with confidence and alignment.
To achieve this, Intogreat created a multi-faceted well-being strategy tailored to Adbot’s team dynamics. By understanding how individuals within Adbot uniquely define well-being, we were able to tailor a programme that resonated deeply with the team, supporting both personal and professional growth. Highlighting how personalised, co-created well-being strategies can drive meaningful impact on both employee engagement and team dynamics.
We began by providing each employee with access to our self-paced platform, which contains resources designed to build resilience, manage stress, and develop skills at a personalised pace. Alongside this, each team member participated in a 1:2:1 coaching and completed our science-backed assessment. This allowed them to set clear, achievable goals and outline a personalised action plan, creating a solid foundation for growth. Throughout their journey, our coaches regularly support them by checking in through direct messaging, holding each individual accountable for the well-being actions they have committed to.
To reinforce learning and offer practical strategies for managing challenges, Adbot employees participate in monthly workshops hosted by Intogreat. Recent sessions have focused on resiliently managing change—particularly relevant given the demanding environment Adbot faces as it scales and navigates potential partnerships. Along with these workshops, employees receive weekly newsletters containing curated resources and articles on topics such as emotional intelligence, time management, and stress reduction. These newsletters serve as ongoing reminders and sources of inspiration, keeping well-being practices top of mind.
In parallel, Intogreat recognised the importance of supporting Adbot’s leadership team, given their crucial role in sustaining a culture of resilience and productivity. We designed a management coaching programme specifically for Adbot’s team leaders, aimed at enhancing their capacity to lead through change, communicate effectively, and create a psychologically safe workplace where team members feel supported and empowered.
The impact of Intogreat’s work with Adbot has been profound, extending beyond increased engagement and satisfaction scores to deeply influence individual lives and the team’s collective culture. Since collaborating with Intogreat, Adbot has seen a monthly engagement rate of 54% on well-being resources, up from an initial 34%.
From the company-wide perspective, the impact is evident: life satisfaction scores have risen by 0.5 points, and job satisfaction has improved by a full point. Employees report feeling more connected to one another and better equipped to handle stress, change, and interpersonal challenges.
According to Adbot’s CEO, Michelle Geere, the well-being journey has instilled “grit, creativity, and self-belief” in her team. She notes that through Intogreat’s approach to well-being and resilience-building, the team has evolved from a group of individuals into a cohesive, empowered unit that is capable of tackling any challenge. The improvement in team members’ self-awareness, accountability, and emotional maturity has directly contributed to Adbot’s ability to take on larger projects, collaborate more effectively under pressure and has proven essential as Adbot scales and prepares for new challenges, including potential investor funding.
